Bench by the Path

This is a quiet collection of things I've made along the way. They're here for you to dip into as needed - no bells or whistles, just a few tools that might lighten the load.

Feel free to use them, share them, adapt them - but please do so kindly. These are hand-packed goodies to share, not for resale or repackaging.

Come back anytime.

Music Resources

Back in a Deep Funk

This is a mash-up arrangement for a middle school/ early high school music class. It weaves together three well-known tracks, and is arranged to be accessible to young musicians while still keeping the groove alive! You'll find the full score, individual parts, and a MP3 of the backing track in the folder below - feel free to adapt as needed.

Orffcore Une Fois

A fresh take on the iconic 90s dance hit Encore Une Fois by Sash – reimagined for the classroom! This arrangement focuses on key motifs from the original track, arranged for mallet instruments (like marimba, vibraphone, and metallophone) and untuned percussion.

Designed for middle school/ early high school students who are early in their note-reading journey, this flexible resource allows parts to be played on any instrument, making it ideal for mixed-ability groups. It’s a brilliant way to explore how motifs work in music and how layering rhythmic and melodic ideas can build energy and texture. Great for developing ensemble skills, rhythmic accuracy, and musical awareness – with a solid dose of 90s nostalgia!
